Brierley Hill Babybank was set up in February 2019 to support families with essential items in times of need. Since then we have grown very quickly providing as many of those items as we can.

Our founder identified the need whilst volunteering at another local charity, that not only issued foodbank vouchers but offered help and support to guide families forward through challenging times.

There can be many reasons why families experience financial hardship and we also wanted to be able to help local families not only with items through referral services but to equip them with skills and techniques to move forward and realise their full potential. This can be done through a variety of ways from simply being there to listen, encouragement to join our playgroup or going with them to community groups. It can be more focused on 1-2-1 support and or signposting to services. We work closely with professionals and encourage early help.
